Landslide? What Landslide?

Nick Griffin - 1157 votes
Andrew Brons - 1148 votes

Eleven ballots were spoiled.
37 ballots were declared invalid as they contained no signature.

That's percentage split was 49.8% to Mr Brons and 50.19% to Mr Griffin.

To quote Mr Brons himself:

“I accept the result, subject only to the checks that the Returning Officer will carry out in the next few days. I hope that we can work together for the benefit of our Party and our Nation,”

Hardly the complete whitewash the Griffin supporters had been predicting. This shows that Nick's support is at an all time low, the Party is most definitely split and if the chatter going on last night is anything to go by, that we will, yet again, be losing some very valuable members who will not be renewing their membership or will choose to simply walk away.

All in all a very sad day for the Party if you are capable of looking at it with an open mind rather than through the "Griffinite Patented Rose Coloured Glasses".

Add to that the small fact that not all members that were eligible to vote received ballot papers and I am sure you will agree that there are still questions that need to be answered.

I am not going to be one of those people that throws their toys out of the pram, stamps their feet and screams, "IT'S NOT FAIR". I know exactly what I am going to do and will explain why in another post.

In closing I would like to add that I have the utmost respect for Mr Brons and will continue to do so. He played this with dignity, honesty and most of all (something that the Griffturds should remember) an awful lot of support.

Mr Brons, I take my hat off to you Sir.
