But is that light a train heading straight for you?
Here we are, two days of limbo left before many of us can and will decide what it is we are going to do. I have gone back and forth over this but have decided that I am over analysing the situation too much. For me, the decision is now simple, this is where I stand.
If Andrew doesn't win this Leadership Challenge, I will be gone and will no longer vote for the Party either. I genuinely believe that with the same Leadership and "team" that the ship I will be jumping from, will be a sinking one, in fact, it's been taking on water for quite some time in it's present form, I just chose to ignore it for far too long.
The reason I will leave is because I have seen a side to the more vocal members and Officials, that I wish I had never had to see. Bullying, threats, accusations, abuse and in some cases, an intelligence level that quite frankly beggars belief. Some of these people work very hard for the Party, I would never begrudge them that credit, however, their behaviour and attitude on a personal and non-Party level leaves me knowing that I could never be a part of something that allows that sort of conduct from one member to another without any form of reprisal.
The reason I will no longer vote for the Party, is in part, the same as the reasons given above. It also includes the following;
The appointment of some highly dubious individuals to both ground level and senior positions within the Party.
The complete mismanagement of the financial side of the "business".
The consistent denial/lies of any problems.
The unwillingness to inform the members of any irregularities or issues.
The complete lack of the most basic communication needed for smooth running.
The fear of castigation for daring to raise any issues you may have.
I could go on. This Party, these people, expect us, not just as members, but as voters, to put our faith in them and elect them to office. Whether that is at a local Council or even a Parliamentary level. Well I am afraid I simply can't do that. They can't run a Party properly or efficiently, how on earth am I then supposed to expect them to run a Country.
The policies, the ideologies, the need to feel like I am actually doing something, no matter how small were the reasons I joined in the first place. None of those things have changed and all the boxes are still ticked by the Party, but my faith and my trust have gone as far as where the Party stands right now.
I pray that Andrew wins, that we can cut out the dead and damaging wood, welcome back some fine and dedicated Nationalists who either jumped or were pushed and finally move forward positively, with renewed confidence and passion.

I really hope Andrew wins but I've seen the dirty tricks so many times before and that's why I couldn't renew my membership.
There are so many horrible people in positions they don't deserve.
Good luck anyway.
